Voltage Stabilizer

So I searched and read a couple of threads on here about voltage stabilizers but I just wanted to know if the eBay ones (Example: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BATTE...65%3A15|39%3A1 ) worked at all.

From what I've seen of eBay stuff, it will probably work, just not quite as well but I just want to know if it's even worth the $17 shipped

As above, Waste of money.
I've also seen several where the box has absolutely nothing in it, and the wires are simply taped up.
So be aware of that if you still decide to get one.

I thought our alternators had some sort of an integrated voltage regulator module of sorts?
