    New Antenna Mast Clicks

I recently bought a new antenna mast from ebay and after I installed it, it clicks everytime it goes down....

It goes fine all the way up (no clicking), however going down it clicks at the bottom.
    Whatcha think?

The issue I found was that the gear cover was worn out.
This causes the placement rotor to jump a tooth and the antenna keeps going down.
Not available through honda, but I made a sleeve, drilled through the gear case (slightly more twards the main gear) and pressed the sleeve onto the rotor shaft.
      No more click!

well i used to have an antenna that did that too. I think I must've screwd up inserting the new mast in. You gotta feed the teeth of the mast in at the right time. The clicking you hear is the teeth skipping on the gears.

I just said the hell w/ it and bought a JY one from an integra GSR, 10 bucks later it works up and down flawlessly lol.

i'd do this but i already tore out the factory antenna and threw it away. i've been debating on just shaving that hole and just getting an ipod for all my music needs.
