Coolant leaking when A/C is on.

Anyone know why is my coolant leaking from radiator only when i turned on the A/C? Also wouldn't the A/C fan turn on when i turned the A/C on? Cuz i notice that it didn't. Both fans are kicking in when car gets hot, so i don't think the A/C fan is broken too?

        It could be the sensor.

sounds like one of the o-ring seals that go into one of the sensors are probably gone. or the hondabond shit that seals it up. Or maybe that your on the road a rock or pebble probably dinged or ticked the radiator while you where driving.

Or maybe its onld and needs replacement. Dont go far until you get it checked. And stay on top of the leaks dont let it get low and get it straightened out quick.

Well i got an h22 swap but how would that cause a leak? A/C was working fine a month ago.

What sensor? And where is it placed?

Where is this o-ring seal sensor located? So if a road rock dinged it how come it only leaks out when A/C is on though? I tried looking where the leak is coming from and from the looks of it, its coming from the back of radiator where the fan is. Leak is just drops though. I'll try to inspect more and see if there is some ding there.

You may have a small pinhole in the radiator that leaks slow, and when the ac fan is on, its blowing the coolant off the bottom of the radiator. When the fan is off, it probabally just builds up a little and falls off when driving. (when you cannot notice it).

                Just a theory.

Go to autozone and rent a coolant system pressure tester, and pressurize your coolant system to 16psi, and listen for any hissing.

They also sell UV die and blacklight led flashlights, so you could dye your coolant and look for the glowing leak.

                  Good point.

Where is the coolant actually coming from? - Have you seen it coming from the radiator?
Or do you just notice a wet patch under the car. It's possible the heat exchanger is leaking (the radiator in the heater box) and leaking out through the A/C drain tube.

Get the coolant system pressure tested to confirm the location of the leak.

Upon further inspection i found out that coolant leak is also coming from the tranmission? Also it seems to happen randomly. And other leak is from radiator behind the fan.

On this pic i draw a red line where the other leak is coming from. As you can see its wet but i didn't go under to check it out but looking from the top engine bay i can see its dropping coolant from there too though.. Didn't know there's supposedly a coolant in the tranny?

I cunt seem to figure out how water can get right there....Sounds like the mind from going down the road is blowing it there? I would put it up on a lift or something and do some further inspection with an extra set experienced eyes.

Hmmmm... you might be right about that wind must have blow the coolant on that part.

Haven't really check the bottom of the rad but i do see some wet spot over there too. But i do know for sure that there's hole somewhere behind the rad and fan. What's weird though is it only happens randomly.

Man, this is an easy one to figure out... And here's how.

Go to autozone, or maybe even canadian tire may offer the service, and rent a coolant system pressure tester. If you take it back, the tool rental is cheap and easy.

You take the tool, and pressurise your coolant system. take it up to the rating of your radiator cap, around 1.2 BAR or 16 psi. Then just listen, and watch the pressure of the gauge. If your gauge does not drop over about 10 minutes, you have no coolant leak, or one to be concerned about. If it does drop pressure, start looking over all your coolant hoses and radiator untill you find where the coolant is pissing out of.

Well just confirmed and there is a leak. Thanks for the suggestions guys! Got an offer of a used rad but his is from an automatic. He said i could use it for my standard accord? What is the difference between the auto and manual rad? Cuz if the auto one is heavier then i don't want that lo.l
