Air Condition Hard Line Leak Repair

ok, this is not directly about a cb7, but we may be able to benefit from the results.

My girlfriends MDX has a pin hole leak on the AC line. I've found the exact point. There are many threads on here on how to retrofit r134a, and run "stopleak" through the lines to repair any holes. I've also read those "stopleaks" damage and clog the lines.

There are also many threads on how to detect Pin hole leaks with those dyes, but none actually tell you how to propery repair the holes after you find them(without using slop leak).

My question is... Is there a way to repair those holes once we find them?

I was thinking, properly clean the area around the leak, and quicksteel that bitch shut.

    Anythoughts?

that might work. at my shop, i actually have a tool to patch the lines. i cut out the bad section and put in a new piece of line. try the quicksteel thing tho. see if it will hold up.
