ok got my ac fixed the other day, its cool but not cold enough i had to convert to r134 because of the ozone thing but is there a way to make my shit blow colder???? like wrapping headers??? cleaning the condensor??? stuff like that

R134A should be pretty darn cold. If it's not then somethings not right. You can wrap all your lines in a thick rubber insulation matting material but if your compressor isn't putting out enough pressure *bad* or your orifice is restricted *bad* it won't make any real difference.
When you say you got it fixed, what does that mean? did you replace all the lines? did you have a bad o-ring? If all you did was charge it, then something else is the problem because you shouldn't be leaking refrigerant.Been a long time. Still alive...

more details on how you got it fixed would help.
Many things can play into the effectiveness of your a/c. Take a look at your condensor, which should be in front of your radiator. Are a lot of the cooling fins mashed together? Is there a lot of dirt and debris packed in between them? Also, there is the evaporator unit in the dash, that has cooling fins also and can get clogged with dirt and debris that comes in from the cowl area. You have to remove your glove box and blower motor to take a look at that. Also, you may want to slightly overcharge the a/c system with refrigerant.

you'd have to see the pressures on the hi and lo sides to tell if u the compressor is weak. not something u could do at home unless u have the proper equipment. just because the compressor engages, doesnt mean its good. one way to check to see if the expansion valve is working, is to see if one line is hot and one line is cold, going in thru the firewall.

What all did you do to convert it? Did you change the expansion valve or the receiver dryer?1992 Prelude S w/swapped H22A

expansion valve is behind the glove compartment in the the box with the evaporator.
You can try this but I don't think you know what you are getting into.
I did the cheap wal-mart kit first, then compressor died. Then I flushed with paint thinner ordered a new drier, new expansion valve, new orings nylog lube for orings. put it all together pulled a vacuum for one day, it held. Then charged with almost three bottles of 134(oh yeah I added several ounces of some sort of oil PAG I think).
Now I have vent temps of 44 when it is 100 outside, but it takes longer to get there. The only way to speed up the cooling is to probably get a new condenser, Parrallel flow. you have to have your lines redone to do this.
http://ackits.comis where I got all my stuff and info. This is not an easy task let me tell you.
Most of the problems with ac is condensation in the lines, thus the reason to change the drier. If it had a leak and lost charge you can bet it has condensation in the lines.
Good Luck.
