So this issue is a little different than the usual "car starting" threads.. My issue is actually backwards.
yesterday, I finished getting gas, and went to start my car. the car started fine, but i could hear a noise that sounded like static in my engine (my starter was still going) I removed my key from the ignition, and the car began to crank as if i was trying to start the car. so I ran out and un plugged the battery and it all stopped..
As soon as i connect my battery the car's starter begins turning over the engine. I can start my car if i put the key to the run position and walk over to the battery and connect it. pushing the clutch in is completely unnecessary. But if the key is out of the ignition or not in the run position, the engine will just continue to crank over until the battery is disconnected.
I unplugged the ground connection from the starter, and upon connecting the battery the starter still cranks the engine over..
the issue really came out of no where.. car was starting running fine ever since i've had it.. and just out of the blue, the issue arose. i checked all the fuses, and every thing was good...
I was thinking it might either be the ignition or the starter...
All the help is appreciated guys! thanks
