    need a quik rotor buttom (dizzy) answer

    how do i get this part off. i looks like the rotor has never been replaced

            Are you sure that has to come off? What exactly are you trying to do? The bottom piece isn't the rotor button, that's the reluctor that triggers the cylinder position sensor...

              just the top piece...and trust me that part was in the OLD rotor thats probably 16 years old. and new button is re-designed and won't fit the original piece.

                      did u get the rotor buttonfor the right model dizzy? and tip, dont use autozone or advanceauto rotors. i had one wear thru the side of the cap.

                        Thats the metal ring inside the rotor button. You can just cut both side with a dremel. But be careful I think you know what could happen.

                          i got it off, finally thanks =] i would recomend buying a gear puller, it kinda helped me remove mine but i used a wrench and a hammer LOL..
