    could this be related?

I've got an f22B dohc with a h23 manual transmission that has been running solid for several months then the other day i noticed that going into gear doesn't feel right. its kinda spongy and i've been "missing" third alot if i'm shifting fast. then i noticed my backup lights dont work anymore anyone experience this?

i was told to run motor oil i think 5w30. i'm hoping it's just my cables, the car has over 240k on it. i'll have to probe a little deeper on this.

Use some GM syncromesh or Honda MTF. It will help alot. I noticed a big difference with my high mileage h23 trans.

i'd use honda MTF. your clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder might be going out.

there's also a switch on top of the transmission for the reverse lights. sometimes it goes bad. it has a rubber boot on it. later.

then it would scratch all gears.
