    Idol erractic when warm...

What's up guys I just install a Skunk 2 Intake manifold with a thermal heat sheild gasket with a 66mm BLOX throttle body and when the car is hot (like after exiting a HWY) the idol jumps erratically between 1k and 1.5k intermittently. The FITV is deleted but I am using the IACV. I'm still trying to bleed the coolant lines because I still seem to get air but I have a question. Anytime the idol starts to jump; if I hold the throttle closed with my hand the idol will no longer surge. I was told the TPS works of the readings from the ECU that's transmitted from the IACV. How come the throttle doesn't close all the way at times? Is that the TPS or do I need to adjust the trottle cable alittle?

Yeah we just checked everything again yesterday and this is by far the weirdest issue I've ever delt with. The surge occurs when the fan comes on and the car is warm. There is an electrical draw when the fan comes on anyway but it makes my car's idol surge for some reason. It doesn't do it all the time so I'm hopping it will just go away or I my need to replace the altenator soon.

you sure there's slack in the throttle cable?

there's a slight possibility that the throttle body is cheaply made and the butterfly isnt completely seating.

        whats operating voltage?
        I <3 G60.

0.5mm Oversized Stainless valves and bronze guides available. Pm me please.

Nothing is done cheap. Everything is authentic and done correctly. These cars are just getting old and I just need to give myself a chance. It's getting less frequent by the day. The throttle cable is pretty tight with just a pen head of slack. I'm going to play with the throttle cable alittle more tomorrow.

this sounds like a leaking gasket or mis-adjusted idle screw...that tb has on yes?

how did you set your idle?

I don't think these BLOX throttle bodies have idol screws. I don't see one anyway. It could be a leaking gasket though because these throttle bodies do not come with a gasket. I had to use a stock gasket. We lined it up the best we could with what we had.
