either something is stuck in your heating lines, or possibly you're burning some oil. I used to have the same thing, thankfully I dont any more. Do you drip oil when you're parked? examine your engine all over, see if it's all gunked up anywhere, if so, it's probably an oil leak. Suposedly our car has 2 common oil leak problems once you hit high mileage...
Do you get the smell if you put the air on re-circulate?

I also have some burning smells, but can't pin it down. It's a burning plastic smell. It started after I raced this guy the other day. First time I pushed 5500+ rpm, after that it started and now it shows up anytime I push revs. Like 3800+, a min after you can smell it. But I popped the hood, its not coming from there. Smelled the vents with blower on, not coming from there. Sniff sniff, I just can't tell where its coming from. Theres no smoke...where the heck is it...why is something burning/melting if it's not under the hood? I'm perplexed.
on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

a few of my friends have cb7's as well... one of the most common things is the oil leaks, and I honestly do not know where they are.. i think i remember being told one is the drive shaft bearing seal... i dunno for sure though... but what was happening on my cb7 was that the oil was leaking off of the engine, and dripping right onto the exaust, causing a burning smell, and producing a little bit of white smoke that was barely visable.
