how do you remove a water pump?
You don't have to like what he did, but I would hope that you can appreciate the time, money and love that went in to the build. If you can't, you're not really an enthusiast, just another dumb kid with a car.-visualpoet
Money and Knowledge are never in the same sentence, because people with Money think they know it all, but people with knowledge, know better.-ragingasianTags: None

its a bitch for one u should get the honda crank tool to help take off the crank while ur at the auto auto parts store get a haynes manual aswell. u have to do a whole bunch of shit like drop to motor buy taking off the driver side mount, remove the valve cover, take off two timing belt covers, remove both belts and then the mount braket that is on the block (driver side) then u could reach the water pump and its a bitch to put in and take out. and if u dont know ur way around a motor i recamend u just pay some one and save the headache of doing it wrong and bending a valve

It's a major job. But if you're not afraid, get the info and go ahead.
Plan for the car to be out of commission for a week because inevitably unless you're a mechanic for your trade you are going to run into stuff that will make you scratch your head. Like: hmmm how in the heck can I get enough torque on that bolt to remove it? and how can I retorque it to exactly 18 ft/lbs when I can barely reach it?
If you didn't have a good wrench and socket set when you start the job, you will once you are done.
10mm crows foot extension was necessary for me to reach a couple of the bolts with my torque wrench.
Most important is to understand how the engine revolutions work because if you don't you can't do this job successfully.
Your other option is pay a pro $600 and they'll do it for you.
It'll cost $200 or so for parts if you DIY. YOu could easily spend another $150 for tools during the job.
