    Compression test

Did a compression test on my f22a6 at school the other day. I each cylinder was at 185-190. are those good readings for an engine that has 204000? Im not sure what other people are getting. But i just wanted to make sure that those are good numbers. Thanks

the main reason to do a compression check is to make sure all cylinders are close to each other. as far as the PSI...it can vary so much from test to test and from tester to tester its hard to say.

Sounds like a motor with lots of carbon build up and oil leaking into the combustion chamber. It's doing good.

Carbon build up... should I try taking care of that? Or would thay mean ide have to take a lot apart. Already cleaned the iacv which was covered in it.

Carbon build up on the valve faces and on top of pistons. You'd have to remove the head.

            Don't worry about it.

Thought so. Thanks. I have a question though. What does seafoam do? I've always heard of people doing it but wasn't sure what exactly.

It's supposed to clean your engine up and get rid of a lot of that carbon build up. I've never noticed a difference in any of my motors. Maybe cus I treat my motors right and keep up with them. But I guess lots of people aren't the only owners of their motors and do it and feel a difference.

I don't recommend doing it, although it does clean shit up, it can and will most likely clog your cat up. And possibly ruin your o2 sensor.

I believe I'm the third or fourth owner of my cb7. I keep up with my engine. Just don't believe its been taken care of by the others before me. I don't think they cared for it as much as I love it. But I don't wanna ruin anything by using sea foam. Your local in washington d112?

I'm currently in FL, but I'll be going back soon. I'm from the east side of the mountains but find myself around Seattle at least 2 weekends out of the month.

Why you in florida man? I wanna go down there one day. Seattles amazing. We gotta meet up sometime before I gotta go to basic/boot camp. Notice any gains from deleteing the iab plate?

Once tuned, yes. A much flatter torque curve can be had doing that mod, and you'll have more top end.

What if I didn't get it tuned? How would I get it tuned? From dyno or from gettin an ecu from you? Steve said you got him interested in learning to tune too.

You can get it tuned by buying an ecu, having me chip it and then paying me to drive to you(or you drive to me) to tune it. You don't need a dyno.

That would be VERY loud considering you have to rev the motor to keep it alive while seafoaming.

                              But sure.
