    Help! Found Broken Head Bolt.

    Ok guys,

While finishing up a valve adjustment i came across this broken bolt.
    (shown on pic)
    I was all like DAAAAAMMMMMNNN!
i recently started driving the car for the first time in like almost 2 years.
so my question is if i can still drive like that? Or is it dangerous?

What i do know is that it's not one of the bolts that hold down the head,
but it looks like it holds down the rocker arms?

Help and info is really appreciated.

i would get it fixed if you could, with a bolt extractor kit

That spark plug tube lower seal may leak since the bolt is not securing that side of it

its not like ur car is gonna blow up though...ur call

It looks to me like the broken bolt is holding down (or not holding down...) one of the blocks that holds the rocker arm shaft in position (now held by one instead of two bolts). I'm sure ther car will run fine like that so long as the rocker shaft is not placed under substantial load, so I wouldn't be revving the engine very high...

The broken bolt end is unlikely to be very tightly stuck in the thread, so it's likely that you can get it out without further disassembly if you know what you're doing (or know / can employ someone who does).
        Regards from Oz,
        John.

Yea, the good thing that I did not want to rev the motor to high RPMs,
cause i just started driving it for the first time in like 2 years, and i wanted to get use to it again.

I'll see if my friend has a bolt extractor kit or something.

          Thanks for your info!
