    clutch/trans problem......i give up

Lately I've been having more grinds and more problems getting in and out of gear. I thought it might be air int he clutch lines, so a friend and I bled the system manually last Sat. Pedal didn't change, it was still only about 75% there and still a pain to get in gear. The slave cyl was replaced last yr with a Honda part so I thought it might be the MS. I repalced the master cyl Sun morn but forgot to bench bleed it and then we started bleeding the whole system, so air might have gotten in there from the new MS. We spent three hours bleeding it Sun night and got no where. The pedal was complete mush and the car just wouldn't go in gear. We were making small progress, very small. So i tow the car to the local Tires Plus and have them bleed the system....no change. Still no pedal.

Today they are going to hopefully have Milex use a pressure bleeder on the system. I still think its air in the system, but I could be wrong. The clutch wasn't showing any signs of wear (no slipping, no squeaking). Any ideas what this could be guys??

Really sounds like bad synchronizers which gear are you havin the problem with? Drain the tranny oil into a clean bucket and check for metal, copper or aluminum shavings

i kinda had the same problem

i make sure their are no leaks !
        - master cylinder...under hood and under dash...
        - slave cylinder on trans
        - bleeder screw and hose nut some were by the trans mount...

next make sure master cylinder is not moving off the fire wall when u press the pedal.

        - next on the back of your clutch pedal this is an adjustment on the brass looking push rod i think is a 12mm nut loosen the nut and spin the rod itself clockwise until your almost at the end of the threads. then tighten nut
bleed one more time and test wit engine on if it shifts smoothly if not....and u made it this far with no leaks you probably have bad syncronizers

          Thanks guys

I've tried adjusting the pedal....nothin changes

I changed the trans fluid two weeks ago since thats what I thought it was at first....no big change

Tonight I'm going to swap slave cylinders to see if that helps, but if it doesn't i might swap the MS again

Trying everything before I have someone do the clutch, since it doesn't really sound like a clutch problem to me

Alright so last night we finally got it back to working perfectly......and here's a doozie for ya:

I did a manual swap a couple years ago and may have bought a bent clutch pedal, cus by simply moving the pedal a few mm with the adjusters the system bled perfectly. My thoughts are that b/c the pedal was off slightly, it was keeping us from bleeding it compeltely since the pedal wasn't pushing the cylinder shaft all the way.

Anyway, now i gotta get used to this clutch again.....been so long since I had an actual pedal
