Im having a HUGE oil leak in my car. I lost 5 quarts of oil in 2 miles...it all went to the ground. It only leaks oil when the car is on and you can hear it squirt from the back. I checked it out, looks like the leaks comming from the piece between the oil filter and the block. Im guessing blown gasket? Anyone have any experience with this or the F22 motor? Thanks.

I had a friend check it out and he said it looked like it was comming from the oil cooler thinger. Do you remember how much the gasket was and how hard it was to fix?89 Accord LXi - 1st car, still have it as a beater

Umm...did they or you forget to put in your oil pan drain plug? What is the condition of your oil pan drain plug washer?
Loosing that much oil, should NOT be hard to find....it should be blantly obvious. Figure it out quick before you take your car out again, don't keep driving your car...big no no. You're totally ignoring the issue by refilling it with oil.

I now have the same problem. Could someone tell me what the fix was and how much it cost. I already took the car to my mechanic but I'd like a heads up. Oh, and please don't tell me to check the oil filter, it's not a loose/bad filter connection.

my car once had an ENORMOUS oil leak, so i brought it to my dad, and he poured a quart of oil in to see where it was coming from, and it was coming from my timing belt cover, or i think. (this was when i first got my car and didnt know much about it, 3 years ago) but he just took a long ass screwdriver and pushed something back in and it was fixed...

Sorry i never got back to this post. Right after i fixed the car i got a 02 IS300...haha. Well still have the accord and the problem was the broken o-ring between the block and the oil cooler. All that needed to be done was remove the oil filter, remove the oil cooler (using a 32mm socket), replace the o-ring, then put everything back on. Took about 30 min maybe and less than $12 in parts/oil.89 Accord LXi - 1st car, still have it as a beater
