For those that have blown header/downpipe gaskets

I received my gasket today in the mail and just wanted to share how great it is. I can't believe the quality and construction compared to my GReddy gasket which is already leaking after 2 weeks of being installed. Its made outta a carbon weave material and is pretty flexible so it can conform to any imperfections in the header/DP mating surface if there are any. For a grand total of about 15 bucks shipped (comes in about 2-3 days!), you can order this from summit.com I have to give a shout out to Chrisisiced for recommending this site: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku
And the thread i originally got the idea from.
    http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...hlight=hedders
Here are a few pics of it, just so you know how much better it is than those crappy ebay, megan, and yes, now GReddy gaskets. I'll post a pic of my crappy greddy one compared to this beefy thick one later on.

^^^comparison of Hedman on top and GReddy one that blew out in 1 month on the bottom, freaking POS I tell you

^^look how much thicker it is compared to the GReddy one well worth the 15 bucks.

haha NO! I just got bags of air, a magazine and a receipt lol. At first I thought they sent me the wrong gasket, the one for the upper portion of the header because the box was so huge and I was like NOOOOOOOOO I don't need this one!, but then I felt the gasket itself and it was the correct y pipe one I needed and I was so ecstatic. AND I've got a day off tomorrow! so I can install it! yeeey!

or you can just resurface the flanges...thats the main issue with aftermarket headers.

I may do this if I can't find/modify donut gaskets for my DC header.

Yeah i have to agree with you on that one. I think the flanges get warped. This gasket lasts the longest but still will have a tendency to blow if the flanges arent straight like they should be. I still would recommend this gasket BUT if the flanges are screwed then its only a matter of time. Whenever i have to buy a gasket i usually buy a bunch to save on shipping later on and its good to have them at my disposal....
