    check engine turns on after a while of driving.

    ok im drivin normally, car runs fine perfectly actually, but after a while when driving the check engine light comes on every time i drive it, now the engine temp gauge doesnt work at all, could it be the sensor and thats why the check engine light comes on? or what? can some one help me out?

        is the temp sensor still connected? if its not then then that why the check is on.

              guage plug is seperate from actual temp sensor. you ahve to make make sure which one it is before you replace.

              resistance reading is the best way to diagnose.

                its the temp gauge on the dash is whats not working, idk why the check engine light is coming i was just guessin thats what it was, but whats the link for the codes again, how do i know what code i get

                  in the pass. foot well area, there is a plastic kick panel that snaps into place, remove that and then you should see this blue connector w/ 2 terminals, short the two terminals with a piece of wire, and then look back on your instrument cluster, 1 long blink is 10 and 1 short blink is 1, so if its LONG LONG SHORT, thats code 21. do that and see what you get.

                      if the guage one isnt working it wont let off a CEL because i have the same problem except mine kinda jumps in and out.
