    Stumbling Engine

Don't know what happened, but all of a sudden my H22 started running rough. The idle is okay (not great), but from about 1000-3500 rpm, the engine stumbles as if the timing was off. I checked the cam timing and the ignition timing, and all is good. The entire intake manifold has been thoroughly cleaned recently since failing smog due to EGR, so I know airflow to the engine is good. What else should I look at?

I think I might have a plug that is dry fouling based on pictures I've seen on the internet. How do I test it without buying a megger? I think my car runs a rich based on how it smells in the garage, but how do I know for sure without buying an A/F gauge? Thanks.

        so u did pass smog?

if you are running rich then the HC's on the smog paper will tell you. usually spark plugs will tell you too.

I did pass smog. HC's were okay, and I got the car dyno'ed a few months back before the swap. A/F looked okay back then. Anyway, the problem was the plugs. I assumed earlier that they were good because they were less than 5,000 miles old. Now I need to figure out what causing them to foul out (dry foul). I think the easiest answer is that I'm running rich, but the dyno and the lack of HCs go against that thought. What else should I check? Thanks.
