check out my member's ride and my newest post in the media downloads section.

i've done some minor visual upgrades, and next i will be addressing a few performance things (susp., intake, strut bars-front upper & rear lower), more preventive maintainence, in-car entertainment, and in the 2-3yr range a manual h22.

for being 18, and working a limited part time, i think i'm doing aight. thing is, 2 people have hit my car, luckily it was only body panel damage and that'll be addressed Q1 2005, if not i'd have my car looking damn good all around by then, minor setback, its all good.

mods are thus far: clear bumpers/corners w/amber bulbs, 4100k hids, all red tails, 2003 civic coupe headrests, 35% tint all around including windshield, alarm(s) & anti-theft devices.

future plans: 95 lip (prolly next week), what i posted above (2nd paragraph), leather, strobes, red/clear tails, shit like that.

      Prev CBs:
      -'93 BRP LX 4AT
      -'92 AGP LX 5MT
      -'93 AGP EX 4AT
10yrs after my first cb, I'm still driving one!

Get a GOOD suspension FIRST. I don't mean just some "off the shelf at your local pep boys" coilovers. I mean name brand stuff like koni, neuspeed, omnipower, D2....
Then worry about rims, tires I/H/E and that kinda stuff.

have fun with the car man

I did intake, exhaust, strut bars, then straight to h22. Get the big dog out of the way first. Now all i have to do is get some koni and neuspeed race springs.

But sometimes i wish i did suspension first. Body roll owns me.

Well I have decided to order a Eibach Pro-kit.....it drops the car 2" so that should take care of some of the wheel gap problem. I was going to buy the Eibach Sportline kit but I can't seem to find a part number for it. $232.95 US is what I am getting them for, I thought that was pretty average so I'm going for it. Do I need a camber kit for a 2" drop or am I alright?

Dood...Pro-kit is 1.2 inches, not 2. You won't elimante wheel gap. If you want close to a 2 drop, get the sportlines. They have them all over ebay.

I checked my catalog, and Eibach Pro Kit will give you 1.2 all around, Sport Line will give you 1.8 front, 1.7 Rear. B&G Sport Suspension makes springs that will give you 1.6 all around. If you want 2.25", go with the Sprint Springs. If you would like for me to price them up I'd be more more than happy to.

I would argue that for a street car that might see a wide variety of situations, a 1.2" drop isn't necessarily chicken feed. The extra half-inch or so from Sportlines will be noticed by some, not all people --- but yeah the ride is stiffer.

Also, there are lots of vendors online who sell Eibach; you don't necessarily need to goto eBay, although that may be the best way to get the cheapest price. If Sportlines are what you want they aren't difficult to find.

I kinda have to disagree with you on that one actually. Compare woahna's car to cpmike's. They have pro-kit and sportline, respectively, I find a very big difference thin their cars.

I take offense to that Ken. and no, it wasn't my first mod.

And that was exactly my point. To some it's a significant, noticable difference. To others, it's a half inch more, i.e. not totally slammed to the bump stops.

Anyway, back on topic, 2drcord, did you find your springs? I was sort of under the impression they should be anywhere from $150-$160 to $200 retail?

I seem to recall seeing some on eBay (I don't really understand why NEW car parts are so common on eBay, but whatever) in the lower range.

I found a set of dropzone springs on ebay for like 80 bucks, they are claiming that they will lower your car 2.5" in the front and 2.25" in the rear......is this a wise choice or should I keep shopping? Acctually I was just looking at a set of H&R springs for like 140 bucks with free shipping and they are a 1.75" drop the info sounded kinda like what I am looking for. Does anyone have these springs and what is the ride like?

Well, so far the price differentials you've mentioned range from $80-$230-ish but with no mention of what's important to you in a spring.

You seem to indicate something on the moderate/conservative side of lowered (less than 2"). To me this sounds smart, particularly if you have no real reason to go lower. The other thing is, get a name brand. Eibach certainly is; others will have to tell you about dropzone --- I don't know.

Don't get too hung up on price for springs, given how important they are! You'll also spend more on new shocks.
