i just got my timing belt, balancer, oil, water pumps and gaskets changed anew. so are you suppose to break them in or what cause my accelerator is much firmer(if that a word?) than it use to be?

pedal pressure has nothing to do with the parts you mentioned, but they may have adjusted the throttle cable to give better throttle response.

tighter throttle cable= more throttle response. usually.

Could you have kinked the cable in the cruise control actuator?

Don't know if this would make the throttle stiffer or not but I had to remove this part when I did the belts and thats the onlt link I can make as to why your pedal might feel stiffer.

lol I hate when that happens.

Adjust your throttle cable and if you want, you can lube it up too.

                            timing belt change/vibration issue

I just had my timing belt and water pump changed at the dealership and now my engine has a really annoying vibration. Do you think they messed up the timing or something? It accelerates the same as it did before but ib vibrates like a cell phone. Everything in my rear view mirror looks all blurry from the vibrations. It sucks.
