    Air Filter

I have a cone air filter that i bought from auto zone a while back. i was just wondering when the cleaning intervals were. like, how many miles i should go before cleaning it, or just wait until it gets really dirty, then clean it. And to clean it, do i just spray it off with the hose, then oil it back up again, or is there something special i have to do. any help would be great.

Are you sure it's a cleanable filter? A lot of those cones are a cheap POS. If it is cleanable, you should have gotten instructions with it.

I spray mine with carb cleaner, then use compressed air to blow the crap out from the inside. Some require an oiling after, some don't. Find out which yours is, it makes a difference!

I went ahead and got a second one for mine. I bought the cheap APC short ram kit. The filter is one of the ones you put oil on. I also bought an AEM dry flow. Both of them are washable. You can take one off and clean it, and just put the other one on and go. You dont have to wait for anything to dry.
