fuel gauge

sup yall what can i do when my fuel gauge dont work. i took off my dash and repainted it when i rehook everything everything works but the fuel gauge for a while id bang on da dash and it would work for a while then it will drop back all tha way down. i took the gauge off and rehooked it again but no diffrence. what can i do. let me kno rite on yall

You moved the gauge which messed it up. Same thing happened to me. Idk if you can fix it or not, worse comes to worse get a new cluster.
