    two questions.

first off. i was sitting at a stoplight last night when i noticed steam comming from under my hood. so i got out and poped it to see whats up and from what i saw, i have antifreeze comming out of my radiator cap? so should i just replace the cap or the whole radiator? i kno the radiator is good and the radiator itself isnt leaking, and im still full of antifreeze

question two is does a iacv off the f22a4 work and fit right on the f22a1? im just wondering before i go back to the j/k and get all the parts i need to work on my car finally. thanks in advance.

You need to replace the cap. Its not supposed to let any pressure leave the system. easy fix Not sure about the IAC

        just get a new cap

and yes the IACV does work on all the f22a motors. no matter if its from an a1, a4, or a6.

True dat. I got an F22a1 IACV on my A4. And replace the radiator cap after 10 minutes of cooling. I got one with Korean characters on it! lol.

cool thanks for the info, cause i found an iacv that looked brand new and the milage on the car in the j/k was on 88xxx. so imm get the iacv and see if that fixes my prob. and i guess imm go buy a radiator cap after school.

The coolant flows out of the radiatior cap because it cannot cool fast enough through conventional means. Replacing the radiator cap will solve the problem ONLY IF it is not keeping system pressure. If it does not solve the problem, that means something else is causing the coolant to overheat, like maybe a bad head gasket or a clog.

i found the problem when i looked a little closer yesterday, first i tried replacing the cap but that didnt help. the prob ended up bein, i have a small crack on the plastic part of the radiator near the cap. but since im goin boost soon, can i go ahead a get a civic radiator? if so how hard is it to mount it?
