O2 sensor replacement !

Guys,

Over the weekend i ordered a new O2 sensore (OEM - $59) and replaced it.

After replacement, all my woes are over !!!!!!!!!!

car has power, mileage has went up, I will give you the exact figures once
the tank is done.

if it's aftermarket, i give it a week or a month before it fails.

well my aftermarket autozone/oreilly $50 bosch lasted a good 5 years...it only failed because my rad fan wasn't secure and it rubbed the wires. Then I go and buy an OEM cause I thought the bosch was crap...now who feels dumb...yes...I do

Also the aftermarket is designed differently...I like the oem design better, seem like the exhaust gases would go in the sensor easier...I have no proof of this...but the part of the sensor that sticks out on the OEM has holes to catch gases, the aftermarket does not.

I got 27-28mpg with my $50 aftermarket...same with my new $250 OEM

I bought an NTK for $110 plus tax last week, the bosch was $95 and the dealer was....... yes you guessed it $280. I only got 330kms on my last tank, which works out to like 15mpg or something. Anyway I hope that increases my mileage. I'm curious about something though. my engine sounds different now, its louder and deeper when I go over 3.5k my engine sounds different since the last 3 years I've had it. anyone have any idea why?

I have been getting 24mpg mixed city/highway driving, 20 w/AC, with a semi heavy foot. I wonder if a new o2 sensor would help, 174k on the motor, and I do not know if it has ever been replaced.

It wouldn't hurt. It's hard to say whether a new O2 sensor will improve your fuel economy because there are so many other factors influencing that we don't know the condition of.

I have a 20,000 mile new motor and recently started running rich and putting black soot on my CB7's butt. My mileage went from close to 30 to about 25mpg. I'll be swapping my 180-200k mi old sensor with one that's as new as the motor soon, hope to have the same results.

damn 330km i think your o2 sesor should almost double your mileage, or something else is wrong.

My car too has sounded a bit off lately...i think its just old age. check for any exhaust leaks?

Ive had a code 41 CEL for about 2 weeks now() and i need to replace it.

Ive heard bad things about Bosch and i --AM NOT-- paying $200+ for OEM. Fuck them.
