    Neuspeed strut bar ?'s

I have an H22 and want the Neuspeed bar to fit. Is it possible? I found one today for a, lets say deal, haha. Has anyone made it work w/ the H22? whats necessary to make it work?

I've read about the valve cover being ground down a little and it fitting, i had one but when i swapped it wasnt worth it to do extra work for it to fit so i sold it.

No, it won't clear the H22. It will clear the F22b / H23a with a little effort.

It won't clear at all, hence why I no longer have one. I am not even convinced that "massaging" the valve cover would do it.

A member on here tried working with the valve cover as well as playing around with where the bar mounted to the strut towers with no avail. He raised it up with washers, and it still wouldn't clear.

Mine hit my hood, so I don't think there's any room to go up in most of these cars.

yeah its a shame...it was the stealth black one too. I can't believe how light it is. I thought it would weigh a TON but its like 5 lbs seriously. Well I guess up for sale it goes....prob. list it tomorrow I'm so tired now..kinda had to drive across town for it but I met a cool guy in the process, so it was worth it. I told him about cb7tuner, he's got a pretty sick 90 CB coupe w/ an H22 w/ traction bars and blacked out ITRs.

I think you can grind the valve cover down, but with this, you also need to get solid motor mounts as well. I mean technically, you don't need mounts, but the engine DOES and WILL rock when you stomp the the accelerator.

I have also heard of washers, but that just kind of kills the purpose of the bar itself. Explicit performance has a tri-bar. I think that would be a better buy anyway.

EDIT: I guess it doesn't fit. Bleh, go explicit.

I didn't want to dirty up your For sale thread, but you do realize that these vary from $125-$160 new right?

yeah but where are you going to find a black neuspeed bar? no one sells them new anymore. So discontinued parts are pretty hard to find. I doubt even the polished one is for sale anymore.

For H22a, Neuspeed strut is not worth it.
                          Go with Cusco Strut bar.

Yes, they are still available. The polished one is still listed on Neuspeed's site as well as being available at other locations.

For what this is selling for, it would be easier to buy a brand new one and paint it black if necessary. That is what the person who bought mine did.

It is definitely a worthwhile mod, but honestly, when you can buy them new and in perfect condition for a few dollars more, I dont' know.

Not telling you to lower your price or anything, but you should be aware.
