steering wheel shaking and thumping

just started today..steering wheel actually more of a jerky shake while driving,but kind of calms down when reaching the end of a gear. and a constant rhythmatic thumping noise coming from what sounds like the suspension or brakes...nothing in tires and lug nuts are tight.

any suggestions

is the thumping at all times or just on accelleration or braking? i'd also check the air pressure. later.

i mean when it shakes it feels like im on a roller coaster, and if i let go it probably shakes an inch to each side

Out of round tires, loose axles or bad bearings.

i knew i should have used factory lugs on the factories fuuuuuuck

i had the same prob until i changed the front tires. but i still have to do my front rotors and pads.

Sounds like you need new tires. Do you have cupping on the tires?
I had the same issue. You couldn't go over 50 without getting the contents of your stomach sloshed around like a washing machine on wash cycle! Replaced the rears and I went 95 the other day racing a nissan maxima. For some retarded reason he thought it would be bright to try and out run me with a spare the size of a bike tire on the left rear! I thought he was gonna flip! Was funny though. They thought I was following them! haha....ha

2 wheel studs gone!! holy crap! i once had only 3 lug nuts, and 1 wheel stud snapped, and bent another one. You, my friend are lucky ur wheel didn't just roll off ur car and u were riding on ur rotor.

hey atleast yours doesnt always shake. i need to get mine looked at but its always done it for some reason hope u find out.
