youll see it under the car just slightly back behind the mudflap. youll feel it its like a metal edge sticking out under the car. There is one there and 1 further back near the rear wheel just before the wheel not after it.
... and it sure beats "just doing it" and doing it wrong!
I had a similar question recently that as answered when I found the Honda service manual (well, part of it?) online.
What I was wondering was, if you put the jack under lift points, where do you put the jack stands? I could find no place that made sense. I located one or two spots that looked like they almost would work ....
... however the Honda service manual also shows the front tow hook area can be safely used as a jack point. Good to know if you'd like to place the jack stands under the front lift points instead.
most of the time when i use jack Stands, they are for safety only. I place them under the control arms, or any solid part under the car.
If i'm leaving the car for a good amount of time, I will use the tow spots in front of the car to jack, and the side points for my stands. When jacking from the front of the car however, many jacks are not tall enough to gen stands under the side of the car. I personally use a wood block on top of my jack to give more height. That is fairly dangerouse though, so i can't say i recomend that!
where exactly would I find the place to put the front tow hook. I need a good spot that i can use to jack my car up while I put the stands on under it. I'm storing my car for the winter so the car will be laid up for about 4 or 5 months

respect. You can't buy it.
You earn it. One run at a time.
You can't talk about it 'cause
when the light goes green, no one can here you talk.
the front tow hook and under the rear bumper area where you see a bump are places you can jack up the car....then you can use the standard jack-stand supports...I use them front and rear jack points all the time, so you don't have to be afraid it will hurt something.
Is your car very rusted around the jack points? if so, consider other strong areas...I had that issue on our 85 New Yorker, the stock jack supports were too rusted and couldn't support the vehicle (well it did, but it crunched through an inch or so of metal before settling down hahaha...kind of funny actually). anyways, that car is gone....headgasket blew, had that 2.2L 4 cyl turbo engine.
