breaking in cat??

i just got my cat and i want to drive around with it on as little as possible. is there any kind of break-in time with something like this?? i know all that about how it works better the closer to the front it is, cause of the heat issue. but do i need to drive with it in for a week or anything like that before i get smogged?

btw, just for kicks, here's a couple pics of what the muffler shop did for me. great job if you ask me. i bought a universal carsound cat and they shortened it and bent a ball joint flange for it, like so...





and he also made me a straight pipe to swap in/out with the same flanges. what i really like about these flanges is that i can swap the cat and pipe as many times as i want and ill never need a gasket.

cool shit man, its good to have a guy that will do something like that for you, alot of shops around me are too "good" to do something like that. snooty bastards
