    Need an explanation.

what are those holes between each exhaust port and is there suppose to be oil there? the reason i ask is, i've got a Megan Racing header on but that stud right below the alternator bracket seems to leak oil through the nut. When i installed the header, i bought a new metal gasket for that area from Autozone, maybe i didn't torque it down right/enough and that's why it's leaking through?

Wed3k or any "engine builders" i'm looking at you guys for info here because i want to procede with my 5spd swap but i don't want to put money into that yet if i need to replace my engine.

well i dont know what they are.. but i think the oil that you have in urs is just like extra leakage.. cause those holes dont go anyways and you can wash the oil right out... as for the headers.. i have the same headers.. and i used the gasket that came with it i just torgued it down pretty tight and i havent had any problems..

    hope that helps
You don't have to like what he did, but I would hope that you can appreciate the time, money and love that went in to the build. If you can't, you're not really an enthusiast, just another dumb kid with a car.-visualpoet

idk what those ports are for, but it looks like maybe there is oil in there from a leaking valve cover gasket in the past?

they are nothing & go no where. just clean them out. the oil came from a leak from the VC long ago.

clean them & youll see what I mean
