    H22accord In Trouble

    i drive a 93 accord with the jdm h22a swap (p13 ecu) 4 codes were thrown and now my car sux!

    code 3 map sensor i dont know whats wrong just got vtec controller hooked up now my car bogs down and runs like shit after vtec engages

    code 12 egr system changed my egr valve and gasket but it wont stay at idle it just dies when i hook up the vaccum hose

    code 20 electric load detector my car goes crazy when i step on brake turn on headlights or air my radio shuts off gauges go off (i dont know how to fix it)

    last code 22 variable valve timing and valve lift electronic pressure switch i dont know what it means so if someone knows how to fix it please help my cooling fans dont kick in either

    sounds like my intake is popping or backfiring and my exhaust after my engine bogs smells like rotten eggs please help

      First off. TAKE YOUR CAPS off. People won't even read that.

      Then make a separate paragraph for EACH problem

      You seem to have done enough research to know what codes are what, so people will be glad to help, if they can read it. I don't care to much, but lots of peeps on here are ANAL about that.

        okay, lemme see if i can help:


        problem #1: your map sensor is located inside a black box that is bolted on the passenger side firewall. it also has vacuum lines running in/out of the box. just open the box and you'll see the map sensor.


        problem #2: i'll get back to you about the EGR..not too sure

        problem #3: that happened to me too. first, check all your grounds. make sure none of them are loose. what i did was i ran additional grounds(2) from the battery to the chassis and it worked for me.

        problem#4: the vtec pressure switch is right under the vtec solenoid; looks like a temp sensor, you can't miss it.
