    help, AC problems

my ac is not kicking in, you can normally feel it when you hit the ac button when the clutch engages, but it doesnt engage, is there a sensor that detects low freon(?) to keep it from coming on. Is there a relay that could be bad.
Also what type of coolant goes into 93 lx, R-12? i can't afford a retro fit right now. thanks for any ideas.

If the freon is low the compressor will not work. A 93 will have r12 if it wasn't retro-fitted.

PURCHASED NOVEMBER 1991. THAT'S RIGHT, I'M THE ONE AND ONLY OWNER. BEAT THAT!

Yes, but you're going to pay dearly. You may as well get the R143a retrofit kit and save money over recharging with R12.
