Getting ECU code check engine light on

Hey I searched for how to get a ecu code and couldnt find it can somebody explain how to get a ecu code because my check engine light came on and I know I need a oil change right about now? Can it be that? But I always make sure My car is good on oil cuz my valve cover leaks a lil so Iam always makin sure its good on oil. Thanks for replys

no its not because u need to change the oil. lol.
and change that valve cover gasket for the leaks.

one short blink is 1 and a long blink is 10. lets say that u have 2 long blinks and i short one that means u got 21.

someones been plain granturismo too much to see that oil light come on to tell you it needs an oil change lol forreal man check the codes like he said
