yesterday afternoon while driving home I apparently burned an exhaust valve. They way I feel this is the problem is last February the car did the exact same thing and it turned out to be an exhaust valve. any other opinions? i might be wrong

Fastest way to tell is a compression test. A burned valve will not seal. umm typically it takes a certain amount of time and/or abnormal engine operating conditions to burn a valve. A really long time or never if all things are normal. You must have something else going on with your car if that the case. If you keep burning valves, you may want to look at your valve stem seals. If you are leaking oil past them, chances are you will burn a valve sooner or later.Originally posted by sweet91accordComment

compression test done yesterday and #2 cylinder has 0 psi, and when you start the engine you can hear compression pressure in the header.

Btw from the pictures #4 exhaust valves don't look that great either.
When you replaced them last time, Was it the same cylinder?

no piston damage and i'm sorry about the misidentification of the cylinder. i am now looking into getting another head and having all that work done to it. OR take on a second job and save money for a nice H22 conversion. I did have about a grand saved up but that money wound up going for a few bills to be paid off.Comment
