    winter tire for trip?

So some know that I will be leaving socal for a new job that I'm getting in missouri. I'm doing all the pm stuff next week, but as far as tires I'm not sure?the tires on my cb are yokohama prada spec-2 but those are new and putting them on my cd5 and putting the 15's back on the mine and replacing them with new tires and those will be my winter steelies. the tires are no bueno and not sure to I buy winter tires for a 1,750 mile trip and ruin them. will they hold up on the trip. Its a 25 hour drive but knowing me and the way I drive, way less.

As long as you have decent alignment and the temps aren't much over 60 degrees winter tires won't wear much faster than all seasons. Hell, I've put 11k miles on my Hankook iPike W409 tires and can't tell they've worn at all, or at least much. Most of those miles are at 80mph comuting 100 miles a day for work. I use them about November 1st (they're on already though) through about the first day of spring (March 22nd neighborhood). Hell, they're even quieter and have less rolling resistance than the tires they replace (some Hankook UHPAS pos).

thanks man your the only person on the forum to respone. I'll check out those tires as well. leaving a few days before thanksgiving, it still gets hot here and it will be cooling off and by the time I'll start driving out there it should be snowing or close to snowing, don't want to fuck up the tires and make it a waste of cash. thanks bro
