    Motor Mount ?

in my other cb7, i need to replace a motor mount, i know its the one in the front next to the top radiator hose but what exactly is it, i mean, i looked for the part at autozone and they only say front left motor mount, they dont have it listed as front motor mount.
so is the mount im talking about the front left mount or the tranny mount?
    thanks...

i had to replace my rear one due to my front one that busted =(
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

I have some cracks in my mounts. Is this a critical thing to fix. Honda has recommended that I change them. Is it a necessity? Also what will happen if I don't replace them?

It's called the Engine Torque Rod. Honda list is actually $73. I have two brands available at $25 and $50. No name and OEM, respectively.

Bro its a fairly eacy thing to fix a bone rod mount. I said the same thing too it looks like a doggy bone. But if its broke of chunked off be easy and dont drive to fast and be jerky with stops if I were you if get that shit fixed immediately the more its vibrating and left out in the open the more damage you do to stress on your engine as well as the other mounts. Its a quick 35 beans just support the engine oilpan inner a block of wood with a jack under it to give it some support and then unbolt it its its tight with a torque bar to ease it off or jack it up enough where it alleviates the weight to make it easier to come off a siple 10-15 minute job.

yeah but sometimes honda loves to rape peoples wallets for instance when i had a big problem with my tranny they said a 180 to drop the tranny 180 to take it down 30 to examine it i told them i had the release bearing for it they said another 50 to put it on i was snickering on them pricing me then i couldnt hold it off anymore and i laughed my ass off and hung up the phone since they also said i may want to change those bolts cause its a 92lx i couldnt help it He was like sir, hello is everything okay

honda has a pricing system in which they can charge +/- 50 dollars.

like if u go there and they dont like u, they can charge 50 dollars more, whereas if u call on the phone first, they may give it to you 50 dollars less than what they would in person.

i did this for my friend...she went there and they charged her 70 bucks for a main relay. i called in and they said 50 bucks....i got their name and went with her and asked them how much and i mentioned the guys name and his price...so they gave it to me.

                    its all about money.

ah i havent seen this post in a while.

the rear one is bad hwen the engine just likes to jump when revved...or u see hydrolic fluid in ur engine bay, if it shakes really bad in reverse and the front one is fine...

                            i have a pic somewhere

that piece on the side goes on top of the mount

                            thats the piece

thats the piece that SHOULD NOT be sevverd....lol now thats my broken rear motor mount.

this is my broken front motor mount

both mounts went out at the same time....i slammed it in reverse

yeah, its when i put it in reverse in the morning, i get a THUMP.
but once the car warms up its fine.

when i put it in reverse then it shifts great.

plus i feeled back there and its feels all tore up.

i dont kno how to get to it and not gona try so im just gona get that one fixed at the shop
