grey box under dash?

when i was doing the main relay, there's a grey box that says, "Control MT" on it and i had to remove it to access the main relay. what does this box control, i would assume cruise control since it is a "control" and i have a manual transmission hence the "mt"

that's how much i usually sell the crank and rods for. i keep the intake manifold flange for ITB's and the cylinder head for a rebuild. not sure if i want to keep the block...i already have a h22a4 sittin in my backseat still.
