my lights are screwed...what you guys think ?

tell me what you think after looking at this

this is after i messed around with the grounds..before my drivers side was dead...for the past 7 months almost.

what do you guys think can fix this, btw both lows are silver stars.

check to see if all your grounds are corrosion free. I think there's something in between the ground and the grounding spot that is causing your dimming.

You can also try installing a ground wire kit, since our grounds get sorta weak over time, through weathering and whatever other conditions deteriorate it.

The grounds for the headlights are on each side of the engine bay - on the inner fender, behind the windshield washer spout and the cruise control actuator, you will see a blunt-ended whitish plastic connector with a bunch of black wires going into it on one side, and one bolt grounding them to the chassis. That's the one for the driver side. Pull the headlight connector off and on a couple times too, to scrape off any corrosion on the bulb-harness connection. Something is causing too much resistance to get 12volts thru. You can ground the bulbs to the bolts holding the headlights in if you want- even just temporarily to see if that changes things.

This is good advice. I had lots of rust messing up the grounds of many of my lights. After taking my time and cleaning off the contacts one sunday the problems left my ride.

that could be the reason....the lights never worked until i sanded more of the inner fender.
one of those metal connector things is dirty as crap...will have to clean it off and see if it does any magic !

Thats weird...I thought our cbs were ground switching meaning the ground might be in the cabin somewhere? But im sure I am wrong though...
