from my experience, once the ICM is out, it usually is done forever. the ignition coil can cause the car to stall and harder to restart as well. ive only experiened the main relay thing once but never has it affected it me during driving.

My experince is that the engine will just cut off completley dead with no warning, or will cut off and on a few times before cutting dead (the tach will also go dead when this happens, and if the engine is cutting off and on the tach needle will drop to zero then bounce up each time the enginge stops and starts), and may then restart in a few minutes, or a few hours, or maybe tomorrow. In the end it will stop and refuse to start at all.
