    DIY Rear Camber Gone Bad

I got the correct bolts (M10 X 1.25 45mm) and washers (3/8) from home depot as the instructions said (http://accordinglydone.com/forum/article.php?a=4) I removed the bolts and everything was a-ok but the aftermarket bolts didn't fit. It was getting late and dark so i said fuck it, I'll put the stock ones back. Now neither fit.

I've come to the conclusion that:
    A) The nut on the other side is spinning with the bolt
    B) Both nuts got stripped, but I SWEAR i didnt force anything.

I'm not an idiot, it seemed simple, and I spent a good 2 hours tryna figure it out (in the dark). Now I'm stumped. If anyone in L.A. Airport area so if anyones down to come over and help thatd be awesome. if not, ill need to see a machinist and get new threads or nut put in.

IMO thats some of the problem...always work with proper lighting, tools and patience.

The original bolts HAVE to go back in, I would say something isn't lining up because either bolts will work

Yeah they will go back in for sure. I was haveing a problem getting my bolts back in, but it is only because it is hard to line them up right haveing to hold the spindle up and get the bolt in at the same time. Try putting a jack under it and jacking it up to where the holes line up0, that should make it easier. And Yeah dont work in the dark.

you have to take the other end off of the spindle before trying to put the bolts back in. It makes a world of difference!

Yeah thats not a bad idea just take the control arm (Ithink thats what its called) off completely. But to make sure that you didn't strip the bolts try and thread them in without the washers or the control arm on it. Also you might need a longer bolt, maybe you are adding too many washers, I did at first and had to go get some 60mm bolts instead of the 45mm. I don't know why it says to get the 45mm bolts they are the same size as the stock bolts. No need to get some identical sized bolts IMO.

Ive been busy lately & havent been updating enough. Me and my daddio managed to get the left bolt in inc. the washers, but the right is still being a bitch. I went to my friends dads shop (a machinist) who dint have any metric taps but he said there's enough 'meat' in there to just tap the nut. So now I have the 10mm x 1.25 tap and am ready to tap that ass. Im just gonna wait till tomorrow where there's plenty of sunlight.

BTW, i started the project in ideal lighting conditions, and completely underestimated the (simple) task. Murhphy's Law is a bitch. Ill let yall know wsup tomorrow

            Thx everyone for ur help.

Glad you got it figured out... for anyone else who wants to do this, heres a little trick to keep anything from going wrong. Loosen up one bolt, and take the other out. ONLY TAKE ONE OUT AT A TIME. That way, it is easy to line it up and thread the new one in.
