    Car will not start sometimes

Ok, I had this problem for about two weeks now. I’m not sure if it’s the ignition switch or the starter because it doesn’t do this everyday. When I try to start my CB7 its does nothing, when I turn the key to ON position the radio comes on and the lights on the dash comes on like normal, but when try to start it sometimes it does nothing. Its doesn’t make any noise or anything, but if I keep trying to start it than it will crank after about 3 tries. It's pissing me off, because it does this out the blue, and sometimes I can go a whole day with no problems. Like I said, everything works but when I turn the key to the start position is where the problem is coming in. What could this be?

Sounds like it could be your main relay. When you turn the key once you should hear your fuel pump being primed.

no if it was main relay it would still crank, just not fire

it sounds to me like a loose battery connection and/or a loose starter motor connection, check those both first

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

rarely it can be the ignition switch, but test that after

Could also be the starter solenoid faulting.
Normally if the battery connections are loose/bad connection everything dies when you go round to start. But it's a good Idea to check them anyway

Is the car 5 speed or Automatic?

It's a 5 speed, and its not the main relay, I did the DIY for that a long time ago. I will check the battery and starter connections.

if it's a 5 speed, the clutch switch could also be at fault

I dont think that could be it, because I had a 5 speed swap. I dont even have a clutch switch. I just make sure it's not in gear befor I start the car.

ok, I just checked and cleaned both the postive and negitive post of the battery with a wire brush, I also cleaned the connections on the starter as well, and I cleaned the ends of the battery cables. So far no problems.

Since you did a 5 spd. swap, and you didin't put the 2 clutch switches just try re-checking your wiring in that area maybe something have gotten loose in that area...
