Burned rubber smell

Hey...does anyone know what a burned rubber smell under the hood indicates??? Mahn, I smell it a lil while Im driving, and a lot more when I park and turn it off. I popped my hood and I saw a lil bit a smoke come out (noting dramatic). Looked like someone splashed water on a hot pan. It wasn't making a scene or notin. But I really wanna know what it is. mahn im mad. PLEASE HELP ME...

check your belts, sounds to me like a bad belt

sounds to me like its either abelt or maybe u have a hose or something to close to the header, were did the smoke come from? wich area of the engine bay? have u hooked anything up recently (electronically) could be wires burning. check everyhting out and holla back.

Probably your alternator or p/s belt.. when they wear out and aren't lubed they can burn away.

I'd double check that since those are the smallest problems it could be and wouldnt cost anything to fix.

you know what...my light fuse(interior) keeps poppin for some weird ass reason. I gotta take it to a shop. It might be that yeah..... yeahhh????? ...

or it can be that ur peeling out too much.. that always does it for me..

it could be an oil leak too but it'd be more noticable, such as oil spots where you park.. I had one hell of an oil leak in my old engine. it started as like a quart a month, and got to the point where i needed to pretty much change the oil every 2 weeks.

could just be a belt out of line..

same here. I think its my timming belt buring oil off it :-/

i dunno guys... it just started happening recently. I think it is the fuse. Everytime i smell it i look at a fuse and ...it popped. I think i got a bad wire somwwhere....oh well. I gotta get it checked. I knoe honda will charge up da ASS!!!!!!! but...is there a place you guys recommend? Like a chain company i.e. Pepbys? Hit it back up
