You should post your cooling system as well. Post what you have if its modified, or else say stock.

This would help out anyone trying to figure out what temps should be at with certain setups.

I wish i knew what i ran at, the temp gauge sits at about 1/3 up, maybe a little lower. I guess ill have to get a water temp gauge. Im assuming the sending unit is in the rad hose but which one? Upper or Lower.

        I have:
Civic Half Sized Alum. Dual Core Rad
        14" Slim Line Fan
        Gates Racing 170* Thermostat
        Lost my Mugen Fan Switch
Water Pump is currently new also

its hardly necessary for that low, i dont even need the fan switch. my fan kicks on probably 10 mins after sitting at idle, i ever hardly ever hear it kicking on, even in the middle of the day. 160, might as well run it pornstar style lol, no therm lol. j/p. with that low, you def will only need one of ur fans because your temp will hardly rise high enough for them to kick on.

              whats oem temp?

              edit:

190F is fully open oem. Does anyone know if me running my 180F thermostat would be the cause for my poor performance?

On stock ecu's, it does alter the performance and gas mileage.

Getting a colder temp t-stat would only benefit engines that are tuned at that temperature. The ECT tables need to be adjusted for the t-stat.
