    Hard to steer steering rack or PS pump?

    SO i have a 90 accord and its super hard to steer. Steering Rack/Pinion or PS pump. Pump seems to be working so IDK

    ugh anyone!? it seems a litter easier to turn RIGHT then left

    Try getting some new fluid in there first.

      yeah the previous owner may have put in some additive. they arent shitting you when they say only honda ps fluid and nothing more.

        ^ I put Lucas power steering additive in mine and it sealed up the leaks in my rack.

          it prolly needs the pressure relief valve, i just forget where it is on the accords....some are in the rack and some are in the pump.....but i see this on jeeps alot, they will be hard to steer one way, and less hard the steer the other....the system builds up pressure when u try to turn the wheel, and the valve allows it to build pressure to help with the assisted steering and then releases to let the system flow...when it sticks the fluid wont be allowed to flow causing in a loss of power steering

            i did the same but it fucked up my pump seals.
