anitfreeze leaks from the head gasket or somethin', HELP!!!

ok guys, I've never really posted anything on this website and I can't ask for help on Honda-Tech.com because it's all about hatchbacks and integras there. Anyway, I'm hoping that I can get some help from you guys. I have a 92 ex, it's automatic, and besides my tranny slipping (and I don't know shit about cars but it's time to learn because I need to fix my baby) it looks like my head gasket is leaking anti-freeze. And it doesn't just leak this stuff just pours out. Again, I don't know anything about fixing a car so I'm not to sure where it's leaking from because it does seem like the head is somewhat moist, but then again the bottom of the block seems to be pretty soaked up. I dunno if it'll help but my car has 204k miles and I haven't driven it ever since I noticed it was leaking. Please someone help because I miss my baby. Thanks

sounds to me like your headgasket needs a serious changing snd your tranny is just about gone i think its time for a h22 swap

you could get a newer Engine and transmission for around $500-800. That may very well be your best bet.

        yeah, i'd love an H22
anyway, my dad's telling me just sell it but I love my CB7. I was thinking 5spd convertion with single cam V-tec for now but I'm not working anymore and I think the $550 I have is only enough to fix my car so it'll run.

actually, your best bet is to buy an engine and tranny for 550 from a junkyard with LOWER mileage.

Most shops will only change the head gasket and water pump for that much, and you'll just have other problems later.
          Noobie my ASS.

Lower mileage is good but what about the condition with that engine. Lower miles dont mean alot really its about the condition it can have lower miles on it and still run like shit from the previous person running it iinto the ground preferably a ricer or someone who didnt give a shit about a honda.

I'd just save up for the H22, becuase if you take it to a shop to have the head gasket replaced they are going to rip your arm and leg off with the price they will want.

If you do the H22 swap, you'll get the H22 tranny with the engine and have a perfectly fine engine so you won't have any worries once the swap is done.

Just go the full 9 yards.. I'd stick with the H22 or H23 and not do the single cam Vtec engines.

its up to you.. but it's technically not worth fixing your F22 engine since it seems like it's going downhill from here.

ok, the swap sounds great and I've been excited for a long time about putting it in and semi-building it so I can own those stupid mustang drivers, but a complete swap goes for around $3600 at Hooks-Ups (I'm not too sure if you guys have heard about them but they're a real good shop, they do some of the best swaps in my area) and I only have $551 and by the time I get anywhere even close to 3g's... it'll just be too long, I need my car running already for school and crap like that.
!!!Where can I find an H22 w/tranny and everything else I need for the swap (in good condition of course) for a good price. I'd be willing to drop it in myself. Well, with the help of my dad and friends because I don't know a damn thing about swapping a motor and I'd probably mount that thing in the trunk>
thanks a lot for replying guys, this Cb7tuner.com thing is pretty cool. Maybe I'll post pictures of my JDM Cb7 soon so you guys can check it out and let me know what you think.

I had a similar problem, there was coolant leaking in the rear of the motor, it looked like it was from the block, but found out I had to change my rear by-pass heater hose, so thankful it was just a hose, it goes from the firewall and goes right under the distributor somewhere check that.

I paid $1480 shipped for my H22, trann, and ECU. Everything you need for the swap.

I went with Noyanusa.com, a lot of members from here have delt with them and have all been pleased.
