Your HC and CO on both tests are fine so your old O2 sensor is ok.
I still think the EGR port cleaning will solve your problems.

If you want to lower the NoX by cheating, putting in high octane gas (and maybe even a bottle of octane booster) and retarding the distributor the max possible amount might just be enough to get you by (but at 1700ppm, I kind of doubt it). Good luck!

ok ppl. I went today for the retest after changing the coolant temp sensor,
O2 sensor, cleaning the egr ports and checking for vaccume leaks. I gassed up with 93 octane and ran a couple of errands before the test. I PASSED! the nox went from 1695 to 555 ppm. she runs better now as well. thanx to you guys for the suggestions
