    bleeding coolant system....

my i've about had it. Ok my car is still over heating on the highway, and sometimes in town. Now peep this. I removed my thermostat to see if it was bad this was a week ago. Topped off my coolant and drove like normal. last night car was running to the H but when i stopped it went down. So today i put water in the reserve topped off with water and bleed the system at work. A funny thing happened the coolant stopped coming out of the bleeder valve. I could sqeeze the bottom radiator hose and see a little coolant move on the valve but the stream never came(no homo) what gives. I thought when you bleed a system you let it run until the bleeder valve streams constant with coolant. Do you think air is still in the system, or what.

Did you wait until the engine was warm before you bled? I think your radiator may be clogged.

Radiator from a salvage yard? Not a good idea. You can get new ones for like a hundred bucks.

Could be a WP too though. I just changed my WP having the same problem now I am not overheating at all.

            Please no junk yard radiator..
Go with OEM type Koyo radiator!

Here is easy way to remove the air from coolent line.
            1. Open the radiator cap.

            2. Let the car warm up and wait until radiator fan goes on.
(If coolant is low keep adding water or 50/50 mix of coolant and water)

            3. If there is no bubble, re-install the radiator cap.
