What. The. FUCK?! I had to wrestle my key out of the ignition!

Literally. Wouldnt come down from the 1st position. Easily moved between 1st and 3rd, but I couldnt get it to the off position, much less OUT. So, out of a slight fit of rage, violently shaking it, it came out. WTF?!

Anybody know what the problem behind this could be?

Yea, umm, maybe had the same problem. I solved it by when you go to initially start your car, just barely turn it, I mean barely turn! Just enough to crank. I mean don't put all your force to start it on III like all the way forward. Just baby turn it. Still haven't figured out what the problem is but it works. But that key WILL come out if you think its ever stuck.

Yeah now it wont start. Im stuck at school right now because when I turn it to III nothing happens. I hear a click, like normal, but absolutely nothing else. It just figures that this has to happen the week after I take all my tools out of my car..

dId you push the key hole for the ignition inwards towards the steeringwheel. It presses in maybe your turning it a little too rough . Or it could be you need to change the little colomn all together the ignition switch itself is probably goin.

Well. Im officially the biggest idiot in the car world. It was in reverse.

sounds like you might need a new ignition switch..

That's is what happend to me, and I needed to get a new one. The worst thinga bout it is I have 2 keys now, one for the ignition and one for the doors.. My mom used to keep way too many keys on her key chain before they gave me my car, and she screwed it up.

One time i heard one person on here had to hold the key in the on postition because of that just to keep the car on .
