F22A1 in a '91 Ex Stock?

I have a '91 Ex sedan and i got it from a friend with an F22A1.

Now everywhere i read, the Ex's come with the A6. Now why would someone swap in a motor with less Hp into my car before i got it?

Are there any advantages that the A1 has over the A6?

Or do some Ex's come with the A1 stock?

most of them have mixtures they can come in A1,A4 or A6. example my mothers car has a f22a4 in her 2dr coupe and i have the f22a6 in my wagon. *please correct me if im wrong*

My 91 EX came with an A4 but then she went bad and found an lx accord for $200 since it was hit. when I put that engine in it felt like it picked up faster than my ex engine?? but hey its still a honda

Canadian Trim levels are different

US DX=LX
US LX=EX
US EX=EX-R
