ok i have not driven my car for couple months but when i went to start it, it did not want to start so i tried it a couple times more and it started but now the starter keeps cranking and the key is not in so i had to unplug the battery the minute i plug the battery in the stater keeps cranking by the way my car is manual if that helps thanks

yeah the solenoid one the starter seems bad. try clean the starter out

well couldnt it be that the starter relay is stuck closed and doesnt open back up when the ignition is released? i think i remeber on the wiring diagram the ignition switch closes the starter relay and sends the signal...if that is stuck closed on the signal side it will keep the starter spinning....Lost Motion Inc. well i would say the easiest way to narrow it down is to unplug the signal side at the starter(thats the small wire but i am sure u know that)and then hook the battery back up....if it still spins all the time its the starter...if not then u know it has to do with the signal...but it is more than likely that the starter is shorted inside...hope this helpsLost Motion Inc.
