    Car Shakes on Acceleration Only

Like the title states the car shakes only on acceleration. I cant figure out what it would be, but here is a list of everything thats new...

    -axles
    -wheel bearings
    -rotors/pads
-lbj, upper control arms, outer tie rods
    -tires with balance
    -alignment

the shaking is felt in the steering wheel, but only on acceleration. i checked all the mounts, they are all fine, and i also checked to see if they were tight. i just dont understand what it is. the last thing i can think of is the inner tie rods. let me know what you guys think. thanks for the help.

Acceleration only should be axles for sure.

The inner joints are probably shot. The boots do not have to be torn.

the axles are new though? could it be that i just got a bad set or something? maybe an unbalanced set, i saw that somewhere on here, that could happen. they are autozone duralast axles.

but yes, this is on acceleration only. fuggin car gives me a damn headache.

^^^haha ur mom agrees? thats funny.

i guess i can check everything again, i mean i didnt torque the axle nut down, just did it as tight as i could. also maybe the halfshalf is messed up from the swap, since it came with the engine. i have a spare half shaft just sitting.

plug wires possibly, try spraying them down with a silicone spray to see if that helps it at all

yeh the mounts are fine, none are cracked in the rubber area, and i checked to make sure they were all on tight.

what do you mean plug wires and silicone spray? sounds like such a noob question but i really have no idea what your talkin about.

the spark plug wires, i had a set that was going bad and the car would shudder upon acceleration... try getting some WD40 spray, spray the wires to insulate them a little bit and see if that clears it up a little bit, if so i'd say its a safe bet you need new wires

oh gotcha, yeh i didnt replace the wires, because they looked good from the swap. i mean when i rev it though it doesnt shudder, its smooth. and teh acceleration through the rpm is smooth, just the shudder in the steering wheel, its not that i am having ignition break up or anything, but ill give it a shot when i get home just for the security that i did it. thanks.

                      so we have...

axles - either out of balance or something, or not tight all the way.
plug wires - causing a break up or something.

anything else? looking for almost any idea at this point, since im pretty stumped.

Have you tried the radius rod bushings? I am having the same problem in my car and I have bought the parts...they control the front to back motion of the wheels...when they are shot, your wheels can flex alot more causing the vibration on acceleration....If you don't know what the radius rods are...they are the rods going from the lower control arm to the front cross member...there are two bushings on each side of the car...they look similar when new but have different part numbers....so make sure you put them in the right place...

yeh ur talkin about the big donut lookin rubber pieces inside the crossmember that the radius rods go into. i dunno, could be that.
